Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using Strength Level Calculator. Please read them before using the website. The most important point: calculator results are estimates, not guarantees.

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use apply to your use of strengthlevelcalculator.com (the “website”), operated by Strength Level Calculator (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle information, and form part of these terms.

Use of the website

The website provides free strength and fitness calculators, strength standards and educational guides for personal, non-commercial use. You do not need an account to use it.

You agree to use the website lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with other people’s use of it. You are responsible for the information you enter into the calculators and for how you use the results.

Calculator results

Calculator results are estimates. They are based on formulas and reference data, and should not be treated as guaranteed outcomes or as a prediction of what you can safely lift.

For example, a one-rep max calculated from a set of repetitions is an estimate of what you might be able to lift once. It is not a target you should attempt, and it does not account for your technique, training history, fatigue or health on a given day.

Strength levels compare your results with approximate reference standards. They describe how a lift compares with typical ranges and are not a judgement of your fitness or health.

Accuracy and limitations

We take care to make our calculators and content accurate and clearly explained, and we correct errors when we find them. However, we cannot promise that every result, formula or piece of information is complete, accurate, current or suitable for your particular situation.

Results depend on the values you enter, and estimates become less reliable outside the ranges each calculator describes — for example, one-rep max estimates from high-repetition sets. You can read more about how our calculators work on our About page.

Educational information

The guides, standards and explanations on this website are general educational information. They are not medical advice, and they are not a substitute for personalised advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or qualified coach.

Strength training carries a risk of injury. Always use proper technique, warm up, use safety equipment such as spotters or safety bars where appropriate, and speak to a qualified professional before starting a new programme — particularly if you have an injury or health condition.

Intellectual property

The website’s content — including its text, design, graphics, logo and code — belongs to Strength Level Calculator or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may use the calculators and share links to our pages. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the source page. You may not copy, republish or sell substantial parts of the website, or present our content as your own, without our written permission.

Well-known formulas we use, such as published one-rep max equations, belong to their original authors; our presentation and explanation of them is our own work.

Prohibited use

When using the website, you must not:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or related systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the website, for example by introducing malware or overloading it with requests;
  • scrape, copy or harvest content in bulk using automated tools, except for standard search engine indexing;
  • copy the website or its calculators to build a competing service; or
  • use our name or content in a way that suggests we endorse you or your products when we do not.

Third-party links

The website may link to other websites, such as research sources or tools we reference. We provide these links for convenience and information only. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Please review their own terms and policies.

Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and working well, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the website, including individual calculators, at any time — for example, for maintenance or improvements.

Disclaimer

The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not give any warranties, whether express or implied, about the website, including that results will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.

You use the calculators and information at your own discretion. Our full Disclaimer explains this in more detail, including how our content relates to health and training decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Strength Level Calculator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website, its calculators or its content. This includes any injury resulting from training decisions you make based on calculator results or information on the website.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer that cannot be changed by agreement.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, when we add new features or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. By continuing to use the website after changes are published, you accept the updated terms.
